COMMUNITY-IN-MISSION
FAS join the church as an Institute of consecrated women who portray the
life of Mary and her work in the spirit of Saint Francis of Assisi. As Mary
shared with Jesus and His disciples in their work of salvation, so the FAS
shares and assists in the evangelizing task of the Local Church in the humility
and simplicity of St. Francis of Assisi. The Father Founder wishes the sisters
to be humble servants; to be “all to all” in the service of every soul in the
parish.
FAS respond to the needs of the local church in a life giving way as to
teaching in schools and in parishes, pastoral work in far villages, healthcare
as well as in ministries where FAS presence and witness are called for.
Being an active contemplative, the sisters treasure and live out silence, solitude, constant prayer and
penance, following the words of their Father Founder, “we refill our spirits by
prayer and penance and pour out to others by our active apostolate.”
